Chocolate festival
29 March 2007

There is no better place to go for chocolate than Belgium so just imagine going to a chocolate festival in Bruges.

The ancient city is hosting the Bruges Chocolate Festival 'Choco-Late' for only the second time ever.

People from across the world travel to Belgium for the event as they seek to give their taste buds a treat with the world's finest chocolate.

Visitors are inundated with freebies, tasters and testers as local and national chocolate suppliers gather in Bruges.

Aside from eating an abundance of chocolate, visitors are also entertained by a number of other chocolate-themed events.

Chocolate craft contests are held, chocolate walks take place and the Choco-Story museum is open to one and all.

Aside form the chocolate, Bruges is a wonderful city which has remained relatively unchanged since the Middle Ages.

Despite its age, it is a hive of activity and there are plenty of restaurants and bars on hand to while away the evenings.

The 2007 Bruges Chocolate Festival runs between 6 April and 10 April.
