Bag allowance for golfers

Golf enthusiasts who fly with Virgin Atlantic Airways will soon be given a helping hand.
Many golfers find that they have a slight handicap over other passengers as they have to pay for their luggage and their golf clubs to be taken on the flight.
However, in order to help golf fans fly around more cheaply, Virgin plans to allow them to bring an extra piece of luggage for no extra charge.
'We are thrilled that we are able to help our passengers' holidays go with a swing whether they choose the luscious golf courses in the Caribbean or the stunning courses in Florida,' said Paul Dickinson from Virgin Atlantic Airways.
'Thousands of budding Tiger Woods' travel on Virgin Atlantic each year to improve their handicap and enjoy the 19th hole at some of the world class golf courses that the Caribbean and Florida have to offer.'
The special allowance is being made available to passengers travelling from London Gatwick and Manchester airport and heading to Florida and the Caribbean.
