Gatwick strikes chaos predicted

Holidaymakers planning a trip to or from London Gatwick airport are being advised to check with their airline before heading to the hub.
It comes as aircraft refuellers at one of the UK's busiest airports have announced that they will stage a walkout ahead of the May Day bank holiday weekend.
The 15 workers who service jets at Gatwick are angry that their union, the Transport and General Workers' union (T and G), is not being fully recognised by employers.
Passengers are being warned that they may face major disruption to services as a result particularly as many Britons will be heading abroad for the bank holiday.
Two strikes are being planned, with the first taking place on Wednesday 2 May and the second on Friday 4 May - the weekend of the bank holiday.
The planned strikes are likely to cause anger among travellers who have had to endure a series of problems at the UK's airports in recent months.
However, the T and G is defending its actions.
''All our members want is the right for their trade union to play a full part in representing them and negotiating for them,' commented Kevin Hall, regional industrial organiser at the T and G.
