Kansas remains open
10 May 2007

Tourism officials in Kansas, USA, are reassuring tourists that the state is still open for business.

A devastating tornado struck the region late last week, completely destroying some areas.

However, despite the carnage, a large part of Kansas has not been affected at all and businesses in these areas remain open.

The devastation that currently embraces parts of the area is severe and visitors are asked to remain conscious of this when visiting.

Officials are encouraging tourists to continue with their holiday plans however, as this will help the region to get back on to its feet.

Aside form that, most of Kansas remains unaffected and there remains plenty to see and do.

Authorities are urging foreign visitors to witness the region's amazing sights, relive the Wild West and enjoy the friendly atmosphere of Kansas.
