Spies welcome in Washington
11 May 2007

Tourists visiting Washington DC are being invited to put on their spy caps and get down to the International Spy Museum.

The attraction is launching Operation Spy, which organisers say is an immersive experience that combines a host of activities to excite all of your senses.

Using exhibits, movies, computer games, theatrical shows, and rides visitors are transformed from being members of the public to becoming real life spies.

Once the experience has begun there is no turning back and the adventure will leave those taking part 'thinking, feeling and acting' like intelligence officers.

'This takes museum-going to a new level,' said International Spy Museum board chairman and founder Milton Maltz.

'Guests will discover what it's like to live in the real world of espionage. They get to test their skills while operating in a hostile environment and along the way they gain a deeper understanding of the challenges involved in running intelligence operations.'

Operation Spy is based on parts of actual cases taken from intelligence files.
