The Life Ball in Vienna
31 May 2007

The stars were out in force this weekend for the Vienna Life Ball.

The flamboyant event always attracts a glut of famous faces and this year was no different, with Sharon Stone topping the bill.

Around 40,000 people turned out for the ball, which saw partygoers showing off their best outfits.

Feathers, sequins and glitter were the order of the day as everyone dressed to impress.

Sharon Stone looked stunning in a satin gown and the Basic Instinct star's appearance was just the latest in a string of public events that she has attended.

She was spotted a number of times at the recently-finished Cannes Film Festival and has been making star turns around Europe in recent weeks.

The Life Ball is held to raise money for Aids charities and other stars such as model Nadja Auermann, British fashion designer Vivienne Westwood and flamboyant singers The Scissor Sisters also made appearances.
