Prince Charles and Camilla enjoy 17th century house
07 June 2007

The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall have been enjoying a short holiday in Cardiff.

Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles spent the night in Egerton Grey Country House Hotel.

The ten-bedroom establishment is set in seven acres of gardens near the coast and the building dates back to the 17th century.

The proprietor of the house, Richard Morgan-Price, revealed that he was overjoyed to have the royal pair as guests.

'We are absolutely delighted that the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall chose to stay at Egerton Grey as part of their visit to Wales,' he said.

'We pride ourselves on offering discreet yet attentive service in a truly tranquil setting.'

Charles and Camilla were in Cardiff along with the Queen and Prince Phillip for the official opening of the third National Assembly for Wales.
