Air France provides Seattle link
15 June 2007

Air France has announced that is to provide a new service linking Paris to Seattle, USA.

The French carrier says that it took the decision in response to high demand from customers and is confident that the link will prove popular.

Flights will go daily from Paris to the west coast of the US and there will be no stop-offs on the way, providing a convenient and regular link.

Around 219 seats will be available on the route, with Air France using an Airbus A330-200.

Air France has also announced that it has retired its last Boeing 737 aircraft, with the final flight taking place between Paris and Turin.

The airline ordered 12 737-200s in 1982 and since then, the 737 family has played a prominent role in Air France's operations, with 50 737-200s, -300s and -500s being included in its fleet by the end of the 90s.

Since that time, the Boeing 737 has become less prominent but remains the most popular medium-range, narrow body airliner.
