19 June 2007
One of the most eagerly awaited events in the aviation industry in the UK is fast approaching and officials are now putting the finishing touches to the final product.
London Heathrow's new Terminal Five is due to open in March 2008 and airport owner BAA is promising that passengers will have an experience like no other.
Officials have maintained since designs were first drawn up for Terminal Five that they wanted to change the face of airport shopping and eating.
This promise appears to be getting closer to becoming a reality with every announcement made by BAA about the new terminal and which major names have signed up to be included in the project.
The latest names to be mentioned alongside that of Terminal Five are Italian cafe Carluccios' and popular Japanese noodle restaurant Wagamama.
Both eateries add to the fantastic choice that the new terminal will offer, which includes Apostrophe, Giraffe and Gordon Ramsay.
'We're really proud of the 'something for everyone' philosophy that sits at the heart of the Terminal Five eating and drinking experience and we have worked hard with our business partners to bring this to life in a way that will really excite and satisfy our customers,' said Freya King, BAA's acting head of category for food and beverage.
