Glasgow to put on a 'jam packed summer'

The Scottish city of Glasgow will be hosting a number of fantastic events in the coming months, kicking off with the Glasgow River Festival, which will provide an estimated 70,000 visitors with two days of nautical themed family fun on 14 and 15 July.

At the same time, Glasgow's Indian Summer will be returning for a second year to showcase some of the finest indie, electronic and alternative musical acts in the city's splendid Victoria Park. This year's festival will be headlined by The Flaming Lips, Wilco, The Rapture and Spiritualized among many more world famous acts.

Slightly further into the future, Piping Live! will wow audiences with a selection of Scotland's finest pipe music, while celebrating many different facets of Scottish culture between 6 and 12 August. The Merchant City Festival will provide revellers with three days of Scottish arts and culture from 20 to 23 September.

Beyond these fantastic events, visitors will also have the opportunity to enjoy the city's famous history, attractions, shopping and many fine restaurants.
