For the fifth year running, Paris will transform this August into a white sanded beach haven, as the banks of the River Seine are lined with deck chairs, parasols and tropical plants.

Paris Plages demonstrates some of the finest artificial beaches in the world. Every year since 2002, man-made beaches stretching from the Louvre to the Henri IV Port attract millions of visitors.

Last year, more than four million people visited to witness the spectacle, while enjoying a little sun, sea and sand in the heart of one of the busiest cities in the world.
