The Rolling Stones to tear it up in Dusseldorf
13 July 2007
Rock 'n' Roll greats The Rolling Stones are touring once again, after the release of A Bigger Bang, the band's first new studio album in eight years. They will be dazzling German audiences in Dusseldorf's LTU Arena on 13 August.
The Stones formed in 1962 with the coming together of Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Brian Jones, who passed away just seven years later.
By 1965, the single '(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction' had made the band superstars and their reputation was cemented around the world with subsequent hits such as 'Get Off My Cloud' and '19th Nervous Breakdown' as well as the classic 1969 album, Beggars Banquet.
The group has enjoyed hugely successful world tours, in particular the Steel Wheels tour of 1991 and the Voodoo Lounge tour three years later. Due to the their library catalogue of pastvhits and continued output, The Rolling Stones continue to stand out as one of the best live acts in music today.
