Sweden gearing up for Gothenburg Party

The Gothenburg Party, or Goteborgskalaset as it is known locally, is Sweden's largest outdoor festival and consumes the entire city of Gothenburg for a week of free fun and games.
Held annually during August, the festival is a grand party for locals and tourists that attracts more than two million visitors each year.
The city comes alive with entertainment, food, parties and musical performances from some of Sweden's best loved acts. The evenings are lit up by amazing pyrotechnic displays and there is dancing in the streets.
Gothenburg is the second most populous city in Sweden. It features a number of top class museums, theme parks and restaurants steeped in culture derived from the sea and trade history of the city.
