Virgin Atlantic has won the Best Business Class Lounge award for its Heathrow Airport Clubhouse at the Skytrax World Airline Awards 2007.

The 2,500 square metre Clubhouse provides passengers with an array of pre-flight services. It is fully equipped with a pool, spa, sauna, hair salon, pool room, cinema and luxury bar, as well as a large Brasserie for those hoping to catch a bite to eat before their flight takes off.

The Clubhouse also provides passengers with all the business facilities that they will need, to ensure that their work day runs as smoothly as possible.

'We're thrilled that our Heathrow Clubhouse has been chosen as the world's best haven for business travellers,' commented Steve Ridgeway, chief executive of the airline.

Virgin Atlantic recently reopened its Narita Clubhouse in Japan, following a complete refurbishment. It now features two sunken gardens and a raised sun deck area.
