Geri Halliwell was the latest star to join the St Tropez jet set this month, as she jetted over to the celebrity resort on the French Riviera, which is currently enjoying patronage from the likes of U2 frontman Bono, actress Penelope Cruz and rapper P Diddy.

The singer was pictured zooming around the town's harbour on a jet ski, as she took time out of her hectic schedule to celebrate her birthday. With rehearsals for the Spice Girls reunion world tour set to begin later this summer, it could be the last break that Miss Halliwell enjoys in quite some time.

In a recent interview with Reuters news agency, she admitted to feeling nervous ahead of taking to the stage with the Spice Girls once again.

'Until I am up on the stage I can't quite tell. I can't explain how it feels until you actually do it. Having said that, I have got four other girls with me and we have always supported each other,' she said.

'I feel very optimistic and positive, the point of this is to be a very fun experience and obviously the feedback that we have had is amazing and I think that the support and the encouragement from the world is almost like helping us to make this happen.'
