Bermuda secures PGA Grand Slam of Golf
20 August 2007

Golf's most exclusive tournament, the PGA Grand Slam of Golf will bring the year's four major Grand Slam winners to play at the Mid Ocean Course on the North Atlantic island of Bermuda, from 16 to 17 October.

Four time PGA champion Tiger Woods will tee-up against Masters Champion Zach Johnson, US Champion Angel Cabrera of Argentina and British Open winner Padraig Harrington.

They will compete against one another in the 36-hole event for a chance to win the £250,000 grand prize and ultimate bragging rights for the year.

From its inception in 1979, the PGA Grand Slam of Golf was played at a different course each year, however from 1994 to 2006, it remained at the Poipu Bay Golf Course in Koloa, Hawaii. This is the first year that it will be played at Bermuda's Mid Ocean Club.

Past champions of the charity showdown include defending champion Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Jim Furyk and Ernie Els. Woods has won the event a record seven times.
