Enjoy a Grand Tasting in Paris
27 September 2007
There are surely few better places to celebrate all things wine-related than in Paris, the capital of the world's top wine-producing country.
Wine buffs can combine a celebration of their favourite tipple with a city break in the romantic metropolis on the weekend of 30 November when Paris hosts the annual Great Wines Fair.
The event, also known as le Grand Tasting, is held at the Carrousel du Louvre in the heart of the French capital.
Its programme of tastings, exhibitions, demonstrations and conferences regularly attracts around 20,000 visitors.
Over 100 wine-making chateaux are represented at the festival, with established names and new producers showing off their produce.
The Great Wines Fair is hosted by Paris Expo, a convention and exhibition company that hosts more than 900 events every year.
