28 September 2007

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has announced that it will be expanding its cooperation with Northwest Airlines from next year with a new service to Dallas Fort Worth airport in Texas.

The carrier will begin services to Dallas, its 61st intercontinental destination, from 30 March.

An Airbus 330-200 will be used on the route, offering 30 world business class seats and 221 economy spaces.

Peter Hartman, president and CEO of KLM, said: 'Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex is an important business and leisure destination and is one of the fastest growing markets in the USA.

'For that reason we want to offer our customers another direct flight to an important growth region.'

Dallas Fort Worth airport ranks as the sixth busiest in the world, with over 60m passengers a year.
