Norwegian enjoys business boost in September

Scandinavian airline Norwegian has announced a number of advancements to its business in September, with passenger numbers of 610,640.
This is a 24% increase on the 491,258 fliers handled by the operator in September 2006.
Total capacity increased by a fifth between September 2006 and this year, while cabin load factor stood at 84%, a 4% increase.
Norwegian attributed its success to a range of factors, including expansion into well-established markets and the addition of new routes between October last year and September 2007.
Domestic traffic was also instrumental in the carrier's growth, with an increase of 17% in passengers and 7% in capacity.
International passenger numbers rose by 30% and carrying potential increased by 26%, leading to a cabin load factor of 85% in Norwegian's international network.
