Delta Air Lines has installed a multidimensional lounge in the heart of New York City to showcase its inflight offering.

The Sky 360° lounge, which covers a 3,500 square foot space on West 57th Street in Manhattan, will be open until 10 November and include a number of the features that comprise Delta's flight experience.

One such aspect is an entertainment and screening area featuring the airline's all-leather coach class seats and new reclining business seats.

There will also be a midnight sky bar serving drinks and seating areas where food from Delta's menu can be ordered.

Tim Mapes, the airline's vice-president of marketing, said: 'We are excited to provide customers with an opportunity to experience all of the unique, stylish and entertaining elements of Delta's award-winning in-flight service in the heart of New York City.

'Sky 360° is an experiential vehicle that enables Delta to highlight our robust array of in-flight offerings and provides a platform for visitors to try out our state-of-the-art amenities.'

Delta claims to operate services to more worldwide destinations than any other airline, with flights to 310 destinations in 54 countries.
