First A380 delivery made

Airbus will make the first delivery of its A380 aircraft today, to Singapore Airlines.
The plane manufacturer, Singapore Airlines and engine-maker Rolls-Royce will hold a ceremony at the Airbus delivery centre in Toulouse, France, to hand over the A380.
The plane will then be flown to Singapore on 16 October ahead of an inaugural passenger flight to Sydney on 26 October.
Singapore Airlines' scheduled services to Australia using the A380 will commence on 28 October.
Tom Enders, president and chief executive of Airbus, said: 'This is a major milestone for the A380 programme and I would like to express my deepest appreciation to all parties concerned.
'I want to thank our teams and all those who worked hard, days, nights and weekends, for their dedication and commitment.'
Some 16 customers across the world have ordered a total of 189 A380s, with work towards deliveries for Emirates and Qantas already underway.
