Dubai 'set to be world's no 1 spot'
15 October 2007

Dubai is well placed to develop into the number one spot in the world for tourism and emigration, according to an investment expert.

Nick Marr of Marr International, which owns overseas investment firm Homesgofast, said that the city in the United Arab Emirates has all the necessary aspects to develop into the world's foremost travel location.

He described Dubai simply as 'the future'.

'I think it is going to be one of the most popular places in the world,' he added. 'It can offer unique things. Sports City, for example, will hold all the major tournaments.

'Then there are the theme parks - Dubailand will outstrip Disneyland. The plans there are absolutely massive. Everything there is ten times as big.'

Mr Marr went on to explain that there are currently around 1.2m ex-pats living in Dubai, of a whole population of 1.5m.

He described it as a 'truly international destination' with a 'very friendly' atmosphere and high quality hotels and amenities.
