American Airlines to fly Chicago to Moscow
17 October 2007

American Airlines, the world's biggest carrier, has announced that it will launch a service from Chicago to Moscow from June next year.

The operator will begin daily flights from Chicago's O'Hare airport to Moscow's Domodedovo from June 2nd.

David Cush, senior vice-president of global sales for American Airlines, said that Moscow was another 'crown jewel' in the company's 'sparkling international route network'.

He added: 'From Chicago, American is, or soon will be, providing links to the world's key developing economies in Russia, China, and India, as well as established markets in Japan, Europe and Latin America.

'The Russian economy is booming and many of our nation's top 100 corporations are doing business there, so the time is right to begin serving Moscow.'

The Russian capital is the fifth major international link from Chicago that American Airlines has announced since November 2005.
