See the Winter Lights of Niagara
07 November 2007
Visitors to the Niagara Falls between 3 November 2007 and 7 January 2008 will be entertained by the Winter Festival of Lights, Canada's foremost illumination festival.
The event celebrates its silver anniversary this year and has become an annual tradition for over a million local residents and visitors from around the world.
It features over 125 animated lighting displays and 3m tree and ground lights within the Niagara Parks Winter Wonderland, all free of charge, although donations will be gratefully accepted.
Among the displays that visitors will see are the famous Enchantment of Disney shows and the world's largest illuminated Canadian-American flag.
There will be more than light shows to keep visitors entertained, however, as there will also be music and choral concerts, flower shows and the traditional cheerleading championships.
The Niagara Falls straddles the border between the Canadian province of Ontario and the US state of New York, with the Horseshoe Falls section officially in Canada and the American Falls on the US side of the border.
