Australia wins dream destination award

The results of the 2007 World Travel Awards were announced in London on 15 November and Australia was named the dream destination of the year.
While Australia took the top award, a number of other locations around the world were recognised at the ceremony, including Aspen, Colorado in the 'North American ski destination' category.
Spain's Costa Blanca took the award for the top beach holiday location, while Barcelona was named the favourite city break destination.
A number of UK airports were recognised at the ceremony, including Nottingham East Midlands, which was named airport of the year.
Heathrow took the accolade for the top hub for business travel, while Gatwick was named the number one airport for people on leisure holidays.
Virgin Atlantic also saw success at the 2007 World Travel Awards, winning the best long-haul scheduled airline, best business class carrier and airline of the year honours.
