New lounge for Gatwick passengers
26 November 2007
Travellers flying from Gatwick airport now have access to a new executive lounge after an upgraded facility was opened last week.
The passenger area, operated by Aviance, is situated on the first floor of the departure lounge at Gatwick's north terminal and covers an area of 4,000 square feet.
Double the size of the previous facility, the refurbished lounge has been fitted with new lighting, ceilings, furniture and toilets and offers 130 computer workstations, with Wi-Fi access available for an additional charge.
There is also a bar and coffee area selling refreshments and newspapers, magazines and television screens are provided.
Gatwick head of property Emma Rees said: 'We're absolutely delighted Aviance has developed such a great facility for passengers travelling through the north terminal.
'It's a great addition to what's already on offer and provides passengers with real choice, whether they wish to enjoy the wide range of shops and restaurants available in the main departure lounge, or simply unwind before they board their aircraft.'
