Flybe expands network for summer '08
28 November 2007
Regional airline Flybe has unveiled its schedules for summer 2008, with over seven million seats going on sale and 23 new routes being launched.
Among the developments implemented by the carrier for next year are nine additional routes from Cardiff, Inverness and the Isle of Man.
From the south-west, Flybe will launch new services from Newquay to Barcelona and Birmingham, among others, while from Exeter new flights will be launched to Dubrovnik, Brussels, Inverness and Aberdeen.
A dozen new services will be available from Inverness, Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow, while Belfast passengers will be offered a non-stop link to Paris.
Flybe, which claims to be Europe's largest regional airline, said that the network offers a 'comprehensive selection' of connections to popular business and leisure destinations.
Chief commercial officer Mike Rutter added: 'The all new summer schedule for 2008 sees Flybe continuing to grow across the UK and Europe with a large number of new routes on sale.
'The latest routes show us cementing our position as Europe's largest regional carrier in key areas, building Flybe into a bigger and stronger airline with a long-term commitment to offering sustainable, reliable and convenient travel to our passengers.'
