Traffic boost for Air France in November
10 December 2007

The Air France-KLM group saw a 3.5% increase in traffic in November, according to the latest figures.

A total of 16,091 revenue passenger kilometres (RPK) were flown by the group in November this year, compared to 15,544 RPK 12 months earlier.

Some 5.84m people travelled on Air France-KLM planes last month, 2.8% more than the 5.68m of November 2006, while during the year to date the company transported 51.9m travellers.

The operator pointed out that the 'robust' passenger activity in November occurred despite the public transport strikes in France, which led to the postponement of a number of journeys.

Traffic on the group's Americas network increased by 2.8% in November, while its Asian operations remained 'dynamic', with a passenger increase of 5.9%, in line with a 5.4% rise in capacity.

Africa and the Middle East regions brought a 3.2% increase in traffic, while Caribbean and Indian Ocean networks grew by 1.8%.

Air France alone operates 1,700 daily flights to 182 destinations in 98 countries, using a fleet of 383 aircraft.
