Four waterfalls set to boost NY tourism

New York City's already thriving tourism industry is set to be boosted further by four man-made waterfalls to be constructed in the city.
The attractions, measuring between 27 and 36 metres in height, will be located at four points on the city's East River from mid-July.
Pier 35 of New York Harbour in lower Manhattan, Brooklyn Bridge and Governors Island will be among the locations to host the waterfalls.
Icelandic artist Olafur Eliasson is the man behind the project, following collaboration between the city and the Public Art Fund, the New York Times reports.
'Throughout history we have always taken water for granted,' Mr Eliasson told the newspaper.
'Now people can engage in the physical nature of something as epic as a waterfall.'
The project is set to cost some $15m (£7.7m) but bring more than $50m into the economy through increased tourism.
