Iron Maiden launch world tour from Stansted

Legendary rockers Iron Maiden launched their world tour from Stansted airport on 30 January.
The band have borrowed a Boeing 757 from Astraeus Airlines and decorated it in their own inimitable style, with the face of their skeletal mascot Eddie grinning from the plane's tail.
To add to the unusual nature of the tour launch, the band's lead vocalist Bruce Dickinson, who is also a qualified pilot, was the man behind the controls.
The multi-talented singer took the jet, named Ed Force One, to the skies above Stansted to head for Mumbai, India, which will play host to the first show in Iron Maiden's world tour on 1 February.
Fans will then be able to catch gigs at locations all over the world, including Sydney, Australia; Tokyo, Japan; Toronto, Canada; and Bologna, Italy.
The Somewhere Back in Time tour is expected to cover some 50,000 miles and attract around 400,000 fans.
