Eastern Airways to boost UK network

Regional carrier Eastern Airways has revealed a number of expansions that will be taking place at its UK airports this year.

From 3 March, frequencies will be increased on the airline's routes from Aberdeen to Newcastle, Southampton and Leeds Bradford.

Newcastle airport will see a boost in flights to Stavanger in Norway as well as Southampton and Cardiff, while Southampton will host more services to Leeds Bradford and Angers Loire in France.

Chris Holliday, Eastern Airways' chief operating officer, said: 'We've provided the business community with a comprehensive network of routes from Aberdeen and Newcastle for many years and this latest expansion demonstrates our commitment to providing the best business schedules from both cities.

'Seat capacity will also be increased by up to 60% on some services with the introduction of our larger Saab aircraft to meet demand.'

At Newcastle, Leeds Bradford, Southampton and Cardiff airports Eastern Airways passengers can access fast-track security channels allowing them to avoid queues at search areas.
