Disney on Ice glides into Tenerife

Tenerife has been chosen as the location in the Canary Islands archipelago that will host the Disney on Ice show this year.
The city of Laguna will welcome the travelling ice show at the Pabellon Santiago Martin ice rink between 14 and 17 March, the Tenerife Tourism Corporation confirmed.
Disney on Ice has proved as popular among children and adults as the animation company's most famous movies and cartoons.
A company of 90 production crew and performers are involved in bringing the likes of Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Buzz Lightyear and The Incredibles onto the ice.
La Laguna was the original capital of Tenerife and features a number of popular shops as well as historical sites including palaces, stately homes, convents and churches.
In 1999, the city was declared a Unesco world heritage site.
