McCartney relaxes in the Caribbean
31 March 2008
With the ink barely dry on his divorce, Sir Paul McCartney has fuelled speculation of a new romance by jetting off to the Caribbean with heiress Nancy Shevall.
Sir Paul, 65, was snapped by the paparazzi in October last year kissing Ms Shevall in a car after a lunch date in New York and has taken advantage of his newly-single status by jetting off to the exclusive resort of Jumby Bay.
The exotic island retreat, located two miles off Antigua, reportedly offers first-class service and complete privacy for wealthy travellers in need of rest and relaxation.
Witnesses on the island report that Sir Paul certainly seems to be getting that as he rides bikes, laughs and jokes with his 47-year-old companion, who is vice-president of her family's transport firm and a keen cancer charity supporter.
Ex-wife Heather Mills is reported to have gone 'absolutely crazy' and phoned Sir Paul to confront him when she heard about the excursion, according to a source for the People.
As with his divorce, a spokesman for Sir Paul declined to comment.
