New attraction for SeaWorld Orlando
03 April 2008

The Florida tourism industry will soon boast a brand new attraction at SeaWorld Orlando.

A new roller coaster is set to be built at the park that will combine elements of a white-knuckle ride and an animal attraction, the Orlando Sentinel reports.

Various parts of the new feature will keep visitors entertained as they are queuing for the ride, during the ride itself and after the ride has finished.

The new attraction could be the largest single investment for any SeaWorld development.

Bosses of Busch Entertainment, SeaWorld's parent company, announced the project at a launch event for two other new attractions - the Aquatica park and the Jungala section of Busch Gardens - but did not reveal any specific details.

Joseph Couceiro, vice-president of sales and marketing for Busch, said: 'What it's going to be is the next generation SeaWorld attraction.

'What we do well is connect the world with the sea, presenting marine life in totally different perspectives. Also what we do well is put the guest in the midst of that. This is the next generation of that.'

The new attraction is set to open some time in 2009.
