Aquatica gets official opening
08 April 2008

The newest attraction in Orlando, Florida – the Aquatica water park – has had its official opening.

While the park has been provisionally open since March, it officially opened its gates to the public on 4 April.

One of the highlights of the many attractions is a waterslide that sends visitors down two clear, 250-foot-long underwater tubes, which pass through tanks housing black and white Commerson's dolphins.

According to vice-president Tim Cuddihy, the priority of Aquatica is to deliver maximum comfort and enjoyment to its guests.

One of the park's policies is to close to the public once it reaches capacity, meaning that it never becomes overcrowded.

In addition to the water-based attractions, Aquatica is home to pythons, anteaters, macaws and other animals.
