Swiss customers offered more US access
18 April 2008

Swiss Airlines customers will soon be able to access a wider range of services to the US as a result of a codeshare agreement between the airline and US Airways.

From 26 April, Swiss Airlines customers will be able to fly from Zurich to Philadelphia on services operated by US Airways.

American travellers will also benefit from the development, with onward connections offered by Swiss from Zurich to ten new European destinations, including Athens, Bucharest, Stuttgart and Vienna.

Harry Hohmeister, the chief network and distribution officer at Swiss, said: 'This new codeshare agreement enables us to further expand our attractive range of services to the USA for our customers

'And our new route should also help us further strengthen our presence and position in the vital US market.'

Swiss recently announced that it had completed the installation of new seats throughout its European fleet, which are designed to offer additional legroom and more comfort.
