BA to offer new London-Dublin service
24 April 2008
British Airways has announced that it is to launch a new direct service from London City airport to Dublin.
The new connection will offer three flights a day from 1 June and is expected to prove popular with both business and leisure passengers.
Other BA developments at London City this year include the introduction of a second daily return flight to Nice from September, following the success of the recently launched service to the French city.
The airline will also increase its flight frequency from London City to Edinburgh, offering more flights between City airport and Scotland than any other carrier.
Peter Simpson, managing director of BA CityFlyer, the BA subsidiary which operates the flights, said: 'The launch of another new route and increased frequency comes at a significant time for us as we celebrate record passenger numbers at London City airport.
'We have added to our previously business-based schedule a number of new routes that will hopefully attract leisure passengers who want to fly direct from the Docklands.'
Other BA services from the Docklands include flights to Amsterdam, Barcelona, Madrid, Warsaw and Zurich.
