Online booking 'the most convenient option'

Booking holidays online has been steadily increasing in popularity over recent years as it is the method that offers the most convenience to customers, an industry researcher has claimed.
Furthermore, internet holiday providers enable their customers to compare destinations and prices and also tailor trips to suit their individual needs, according to Kate Shipp, a researcher for Which? Holiday.
Commenting on online booking, Ms Shipp said: 'You can do everything without having to leave your desk or your office. And it's also about being able to compare things quickly on price and choice.
'You obviously have choice in a travel agent but you will be restricted perhaps in terms of the holidays on offer.'
Which? Holiday recently carried out research on aspects of travel websites that customers like and dislike, finding that 63% of people are frustrated when they have to register before using a site and 49% dislike web pages that take a long time to load.
The most popular sites among the respondents to the poll were those that offered value for money, clarity of information and flexible search facilities.
