AUA wins business accolade
12 May 2008
Austrian Airlines (AUA) has been voted the best European carrier by readers of the German business magazine Capital.
More than 1,000 frequent flyers are thought to have taken part in the survey, evaluating more than 17,000 flights.
Austrian took top place after achieving the best results in the service and catering categories.
The airline claimed that the success was down to the range of products and services it has introduced in recent years as part of its 'we care' initiative.
Dr Andreas Bierwirth, chief commercial officer of AUA, said the top placing in the Capital survey was 'clear evidence' that its 'quality and service offensive' is having an impact.
He added: 'We shall also be continuing to invest in innovative products and services, both on the ground and in the air, in an effort to make travelling a more pleasant experience for our passengers.'
Opodo cheap flights and hotels - let the journey begin!
