Spanish cities to host Summercase
13 May 2008
Spain's two major cities will once again host the Summercase music festival this year.
This event has been held simultaneously in Barcelona and Madrid since 2006 and will take place this year on 18 and 19 July.
In just two years, the festival has secured a status as an internationally recognised music event, alongside the likes of Glastonbury in the UK, Roskilde in Denmark and Lollapalooza in Chicago.
The main reason for its success is the quality of the acts that Summercase presents and this year the line-up will feature Blondie, the Sex Pistols, Primal Scream and the Verve.
Bands who have enjoyed a more recent rise to fame are also on the bill, such as Interpol, Kaiser Chiefs, Kings of Leon and Maximo Park.
Visitors to the Barcelona version of Summercase can find it at Parc del Forum, while the Madrid event will be held at Boadilla del Monte.
