Delta boosts access to 'America's last frontier'
13 May 2008
Delta Airlines has announced that it is to boost its services to Alaska, a location it describes as 'America's last frontier'.
From 17 May, the carrier will offer extra flights to Anchorage in Alaska from Atlanta, Cincinnati and Salt Lake City.
Fairbanks in Alaska will see new services from Salt Lake City as of 31 May, while Anchorage will receive more new connections from Los Angeles commencing on 13 June.
Bob Cortelyou, Delta's senior vice-president of network planning, said these services should help many travellers fulfil an ambition.
'To many global travellers, Alaska is a jewel of a destination that they have long wanted to explore,' he said.
'Delta's seasonal service offers both domestic and international customers with an eye towards adventure, non-stop easy access to one of America's premiere summer travel destinations.'
