The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) has looked forward to another milestone achievement for the emirate the world's largest shopping mall.
Visitors will be able to experience the Dubai Mall, which is reportedly bigger than any other shopping centre in the world, from the end of August this year.
The centre will be located in one of the emirate's most significant developments, Downtown Burj Dubai, which will also soon be home to the world's tallest building.
Dubai prides itself on being the United Arab Emirates' premier shopping destination, with more than 50% of the country's shopping footfall taking place in the city.
Spanning an area equivalent to more than 50 football pitches, Dubai Mall is set to boost the destination's annual shopper numbers by more than 30m.
It boasts some 1,200 stores, 120 food and drink outlets, one of the world's largest indoor aquariums, the largest indoor gold souk in the world and an Olympic-size ice rink.
Ian Scott, UK and Ireland director of the DTCM, said: 'Dubai has seen an incredible boom in its retail sector with many exciting and pioneering shopping developments being created to inspire visitors.
