21 May 2008
Air Mauritius has introduced a new business class service on all of its UK routes.
The offering includes lie-flat 'cocoon' seats offering a 60-inch pitch and generous capacity for reclining.
Every Air Mauritius plane departing from the UK will have its front cabin equipped with these seats arranged in a 2-2-2 configuration.
The carrier has also introduced an audio and video on-demand facility, enabling business class passengers to view 50 digital video options and choose music from a library of CDs.
Economy class passengers are also set to benefit from changes in Air Mauritius' operations, as the carrier has introduced new seats offering more space and an improved food and beverage service.
Iqbal Bhayat, the airline's regional manager for the UK and Ireland, said: 'We are a proud ambassador of Mauritius and believe that our new business class design will let our passengers experience our passion for the island first-hand from the moment they step on board.
'The unveiling of our new business class, enhanced by exquisite attention to detail and service excellence, reinforces our commitment to the provision of exemplary service for all of our passengers flying from the UK.'
