Swiss to offer 'culinary delights'
22 May 2008

Swiss Airlines has announced that it is to launch a range of new catering options for its first- and business-class passengers.

Gregor Zimmermann, executive chef at the Bellevue Palace hotel in Bern, has created a menu that will be available to Swiss customers travelling from the city.

The new culinary creations, which will be available between 28 May and 26 August, will include crepe rolls with salmon trout and fennel, lamb medallion with jus lie, summer vegetables and polenta for first-class passengers.

Business travellers will be offered grilled beef tenderloin alongside romanesco with pine nuts and rondini filled with peppered ricotta.

Dessert choices will include mascarpone and Gianduja slice with blackberries and vanilla mousse with honeyed tomatoes and almond brioche.

Christoph Beckmann, chief marketing and strategy officer at Swiss, said: 'We're very pleased to be continuing our ongoing quality drive with the Bellevue Palace, one of the leading hotels of the world.

'And we're delighted to be offering our customers excellent cuisine this summer, too, to complement our outstanding inflight comfort and care.'
