New drink added to Virgin Clubhouse menu
23 May 2008
Virgin Atlantic has announced the addition of a new 'super premium' vodka to the drinks menu at its Clubhouse facility at London Heathrow.
Akvinta vodka is a five-times distilled beverage from Croatia.
From 1 June, Akvinta will be available as a pouring vodka and will also feature on the Clubhouse cocktail list.
The introduction of the drink will be marked by the launch of a competition among Clubhouse staff to create a cocktail called the 'stoic virgin'.
Virgin Atlantic passengers will have exclusive access to the drink, which will be served from July onwards.
Paul Dickinson, director of sales and marketing for the airline, said: 'We're pleased to be able to showcase this new Akvinta vodka in our Heathrow Clubhouse and we're certain it will prove to be very popular with our passengers.'
Pavel Ryabov, chief executive of Adriatic Distillers, said: 'We are very proud to be working with Virgin Atlantic, this close alliance is one of the major milestones in the history of Akvinta and I believe the philosophy of the two brands is in perfect synergy as both represent great taste and a passion to deliver high standards.'
