South Australian Whale Centre re-opens

The South Australian Tourism Commission has confirmed the recent re-opening of the Whale Centre at Victor Harbour.
This attraction was closed in March 2007 to allow a number of improvements and has reopened to coincide with the start of the whale-watching season.
Tourists can now see a number of new attractions at the centre, including displays exploring the relationship between whale populations and Victor Harbour and interactive exhibits on whales, sharks, dolphins and local endangered species.
Younger visitors can now listen to marine-based stories at a new children's centre, while a cinema will show exciting underwater film footage.
The South Australia Tourism Commission also announced that it recently received a number of 'best experience' awards from Travelling in Australia magazine.
Accolades were given to Kangaroo Island (best eco experience), Rodney Fox Great White Shark Expeditions (best adventure experience) and the Southern Ocean Lodge (best new product experience).
