Delta to open New York-Buenos Aires connection

Delta Airlines is to provide an additional option for people travelling between North and South America this year when it launches a new flight from New York JFK to Buenos Aires, Argentina.
This service will give travellers the opportunity to enjoy summer in the southern hemisphere as it launches on 18 December.
The non-stop daily flight will also complement Delta's existing connection to Argentina, which operates out of Hartsfield-Jackson international airport in Atlanta.
Delta has recently confirmed a number of developments in its flight network, including a new flight from New York JFK to Bogota, Colombia, which will begin on 19 August.
The carrier also flies to 18 destinations in Latin America and the Caribbean, including Guatemala City, Panama City, Sao Paulo and San Jose.
Christophe Didier, the airline's vice-president of sales for Latin America and the Caribbean, said: 'Delta continues to move forward with its international expansion despite current challenges of escalating fuel costs, and today we are a strong, competitive leader in the industry.
'This new flight between New York and Buenos Aires is a tremendously important step as we add more routes and destinations throughout Central and South America and the Caribbean.'
