More stands to cater for Singapore GP demand
03 July 2008

Changes have been made to the Marina Bay circuit in Singapore to cater for increased demand for the Formula One Grand Prix.

The race on 28 September will represent a world first for the sport – the first ever Formula One race to be held at night.

Travellers planning on heading to the event should move fast, as 92% of tickets have now been sold.

The organisers of the event announced on 2 July that changes have been made to offer additional grandstanding at Marina Bay in order to cater for the 'overwhelming demand' they have received.

This will enable an additional 1,600 seats to be made available for sale on 4 July.

One grandstand has been adapted to offer more seats and an entirely new stand has been built on Esplanade Drive. Three-day passes for these stands will cost S$698 (£259) and offer good vantage points for the race.

There are six races to come before the Singapore Grand Prix, in Britain, Germany, Hungary, Spain, Belgium and Italy.
