Austrian prepares to launch premium service
14 July 2008
Austrian Airlines is set to launch its new premium service, which it claims will combine 'Austrian hospitality with Oriental flair'.
The new service will be used from 15 July on all of the airline's flights to the capitals of Damascus in Syria and Astana in Kazakhstan.
Austrian's premium facility, which reportedly heralds a 'new era for all Austrian business class passengers', will be extended to other destinations in the future, including Tehran from 23 July and Cairo from 24 July.
The airline's popular route connecting Vienna with Dubai will offer the new service from 1 September onwards.
Customers who take advantage of the new product will be able to access lie-flat sleeper seats with an integrated massage function as well as electronically adjustable seat backs and footrests.
Menu options will include Oriental and Austrian specialities and fruit juices, warm nuts and drinks provided as part of an aperitif service.
