Hong Kong airport named world's best

The 2008 Skytrax World Airport Awards ceremony has named Hong Kong international the world's best airport for the seventh time.
This year saw the awards celebrate their tenth anniversary by carrying out a record 8.2m completed interviews.
Travellers who took part in the 2008 awards survey voted Hong Kong international the world's best airport, followed by Singapore Changi, Seoul Incheon, Kuala Lumpur international and Munich airport.
Edward Plaisted, chief executive of Skytrax, an airline and airport quality advice organisation, said: 'Hong Kong international airport is winner of [the] world's best airport title for the seventh time in ten years.
'To retain this title among such strong competition is clear testament to an airport that is satisfying its customers at the highest level, and demonstrating a true commitment to service excellence.'
In the regional categories, Athens, Madrid Barajas and Istanbul were named the top three airports in southern Europe, while Brisbane took the top award in the Australia/Pacific zone, followed by Auckland and Adelaide.
San Francisco won the top award in North America, while Cape Town was acknowledged as the best airport in Africa.
